Carrie Ann Quinn (she/her) is a Professor of Theatre at University of Massachusetts Boston, and is also a professional actor, director, producer and writer. Her recent TV/Film acting credits include “Julia” (HBO) “Defending Jacob” (AppleTV) and feature films “Chappaquiddick” “The Fighter” “The Sympathy Card.” She recently made her film directorial debut with the internationally award-winning sci-fi short, “Launch at Paradise.” Quinn has directed and performed in numerous off-broadway and regional theatres from New York to Los Angeles, and is co-founder of the international theatre company Escape Artists which produced the world premiere of Possessions in Sydney, Australia; a play she co-wrote and co-starred in. Through grants, fellowships and artist residencies, she develops original plays, film/tv scripts and fiction podcasts based on real women from history, whose stories have been overlooked, disregarded or misconstrued. Quinn holds a MFA in Theatre Education from Boston University and a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
