Dance to dynamic new music found in today’s contemporary sounds and incorporating movements from variousdance genres for a funky style that is both fun and expressive. Musical theatre jazz will give you the know-how tobreak it down in a whole new way. Fusing old styles into a fresher, current dynamic through the style of jazz,Herman brings the nostalgic feel and technique base that challenges your body within the musical theatrestyle. Class begins with a series of warm-ups that will strengthen your core, develop flexibility and prepare you forlater class combinations. Across-the- floor dance steps and a special combination in center will give you anopportunity to flash those jazz hands and dance to dynamic new music of yesterday and today. Taught by Juilliard graduate, Herman Payne, whose professional career includes the international tours of Fosse and West Side Story, as well as working with such celebrities as Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Usher, and Whitney Houston, Herman will guide dancers of all levels how to move with style, even those who think they have two left feet. Alllevels welcome!
