Mr. Fosse's work originated from an actor's point of view and he loved working with actors who wished to learn from him.   It has been said that he preferred working with actors who could move over dancers who could not act.   He enjoyed choreographing for people of all shapes, sizes and ages.  For this workshop involving a number from Bob Fosse's show, "Dancin'", the only prerequisite is a real desire to "taste" what is one of the most important dance styles in theatre history.  The number you are about to learn, "From the Edge" does not ring of the typical Fosse style.  It takes place in a sweaty boxing gym, is done entirely to percussion and is based on "friendly competition".  ACTORS AND DANCERS OF ALL LEVELS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND!
