Tap Dancing has its own language, using various rhythms and dynamics. Tap styles are influenced by music andculture. Also, many tap steps can be used to enhance the storyline of a musical. Musical Theatre Tap evolved outof a combination of Jazz & Tap styles with the dancer interpreting a song from the movie or Broadway show. Inthis class we will address a variety of tap terms, time steps, and turns often used in these presentations, andculminating with a combination from a current Broadway show. Please dress in rehearsal wear.  Tap shoes areappropriate. Taught by award winning professional choreographer, Cheryl Lee, of St. Petersburg, Florida; ProgramDirector of the Broadway Theatre Project.
