This workshop will begin with a discussion of the business of acting from choosing a training program, working with agents and managers, the unions, to the process of the professional audition and the differences in auditioning for the stage and screen.

Then we will work with students as they make choices using a small amount of text given to them. The work will be focused on making choices that tell the story of the material as well as demonstrating to the director/casting director that you know how to make creative use of what's been given to you. Finally we will workshop monologues that students have already worked prior to the workshop to pull out the work's fullest potential.
