About the Show:
A century-old haunting.A young girl who won’t speak and an old woman with skin like tree bark. A dead man whistling on the lawn. A nightly ritual. A tale from the dark woods of the Hudson River Valley and the darker woods of the imagination. A story about stories.
Aunt Leaf is inspired by folklore shared across the Americas, the art and literature of the Hudson River Valley and a poem by Mary Oliver and features Mexican performer Indira Pensado taking on various characters in a bilingual ghost story.

Aunt Leaf was originally created and developed by Barbara Wiechmann and Jeffrey Mousseau as part of the HERE Arts Center, NYC, Artist in Residence Program and premiered at HERE in January 2010.
