Christopher Chew

Stony Brook School
Christopher Chew is a professional actor and educator based in the vibrant theater community of Boston.  Earlier this season, he was fortunate to play Joe Josephson in the Huntington Theatre Company’s acclaimed production of Merrily We Roll Along under the direction of Maria Friedman.  Chris’ other favorite credits include: Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, Sunday in the Park with George, My Fair Lady, Man of La Mancha, Bridges of Madison County, Shrek: the musical, Next to Normal, Urinetown, and The Spitfire Grill. Additionally, Chris was a co-Artistic Director and founding member of the Village Theater Project, an ensemble of professional artists collaborating as an incubator to nurture local playwrights’ new works from concept to production.  As an educator, he has created and supervised highly successful theater education programs for both not-for-profit regional theaters as well as multiple public school districts.  Currently, he can be seen serving in the role of principal at Stony Brook School, located in Westford, MA.  Chris received his BFA from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, an MA in Teaching from Fitchburg State College, and his Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University. Chris is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.
