Jermaine Rowe

Jermaine Rowe is a stage, film and television actor, writer and performer, most recently featured in a reading of "Jesus Hopped the A train" at the American Airlines theatre on Broadway. Born in Jamaica, Jermaine recently completed his MFA in theatre at Sarah Lawrence College in New York. He also holds a B.A in Journalism & Theatre from the University of the West Indies.

Jermaine was a featured performer and dance captain in the Tony award winning Broadway musical Fela! For which he also did the world tour and debuted at the National Theatre in London. He was also in the West-End production of Disney’s The Lion King. He also works on developing projects, most recently, the Public Theatre's "Moby Dick" with Dave Malloy.

An upcoming theatre maker, Jermaine has debuted his one man show “A Dream on an Island” at TADA Theatre. His play “Mom's Eulogy” was recently selected for a reading at the Queen’s Performing Arts Center’s "Caribbean American writer’s series". He also has recently been developing new works with the International Vocal Workshop in Grožnjan, Croatia, where the initial idea for "Solitary" was inspired.
