Tracey Moore

Tracey Moore (Musical Theatre Guest Artist/Workshop Presenter) is an associate professor of theatre at The Hartt School in Hartford, CT.  She directs and teaches music theatre, acting, and career prep.  Her book, Acting the Song, has just come out in a second edition, and a new Student Companion Ebook is coming soon.  Articles she has written have been published in the Chronicle of Higher Education, Dramatics, Teaching Theatre, Studies in Music Theatre, and The New York Times.  Before coming to academia, Tracey was an actress and singer in New York, where she performed in venues as diverse as an art gallery and The Metropolitan Opera.  She played Emma Goldman in the National Tour of Ragtime and Nimue in the National Tour of Camelot, as well as many leading roles in regional theatres across the U.S.  Her passions are acting pedagogy and new musicals.
