Eden Casteel (Musical Theatre Vocal Coach/Accompanist) teaches voice and piano in her Wakefield, Rhode Island studio and online.  Eden teaches students of all ages and abilities. She helps students make effective improvements in technique and performance, quickly. Her studio is a diverse mix of cabaret artists, classical soloists, musical theater performers, choir members, singer/songwriters, beginner to intermediate pianists, and even some shy, "shower-only" singers.  In addition to private lessons, Eden is an experienced clinician and coach. She designs and leads voice and audition workshops and choral training sessions. She also designs musical and theatrical showcases for her students and colleagues. Eden performs regularly as an actor and pianist in scripted and improv shows, and cabaret. She is a co-creator of The Benchwarmers, a musical improv trio with fellow pianists Mark Merritt and Keith Munslow. Eden is also a founding member of Collegium Ancora, a Providence-based professional vocal ensemble. Eden is the current president of the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Association Of Teachers of Singing, the world's largest organization devoted to supporting singing instructors and their students. Eden is also a member of the Rhode Island chapter of the American Guild Of Organists and is an itinerant pianist, organist, and cantor. She is also the volunteer coordinator for ChoirNews.org, an online listing of choral events in southern New England. She previously taught at Community College of Rhode Island, Salve Regina University, and Hillsdale College.  "A stunning coloratura soprano" with "a great sense of comic timing," Eden's favorite roles include Victoria Grant in Victor/Victoria, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Yum-Yum in The Mikado, and an usual pairing of Susanna and The Queen Of The Night in a production of Peter Shaffer's Amadeus.  Eden holds a Master of Music degree from The University of Maryland At College Park. Her Bachelor of Music Degree is from The University Of Cincinnati College-Conservatory Of Music. She is a Level III graduate of Somatic VoiceWork (The LoVetri Method).
