John holds an MFA in design and an MA in history from Syracuse University. He is the resident designer/TD for Saint Michael's College in Vermont; he is also the production manager and resident designer for the Saint Michael's Playhouse. His professional design credits include work with Moonbox Productions, Lost Nation Theater, the Black Hills Playhouse, Northern Stage, the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Next Act Theatre, Vermont Stage, and Milwaukee Chamber Theatre among others. He was involved with KCACTF leadership from 2005-2020 as DTM Co-Chair, Regional Co-Chair and  DTM Member-At-Large on the National Executive Committee. John was recognized with the Kennedy Center Gold Medallion for service to the region in 2010 and 2018.
